Alex and Brett

Alex and Brett you guys!! I loved meeting up with them and getting so pumped for their wedding coming up in October!!! :D I love when couples book engagement session with their weddings because its such a relaxed time we can get to know each other and get ready for their special day! I also send out questionnaires before a session to cheat and get to know some of the good details before that we don't always have time to sit down and hear about. So here are the answers for the amazing couple!!

How did you and your fiance meet?

Brett and I swiped right on Tinder in December 2014. We exchanged numbers and texted back and forth for about a month before meeting in person for the first time. Today, we laugh when people are slamming those millennial dating sites like tinder and bumble because it worked for us! 😂

What is your engagement story!?

Brett and I planned a trip to Estes Park, CO. Our first day, we hiked on a trail in he Rocky Mountains and he popped the question. I think we both blacked out in that moment, but we both agree it was perfect LOL. It was very secluded and no one was around. Very dreamy. Eventually, a couple walked passed us and we asked them to take our photo. When they realized we just got engaged they were ecstatic, and explained this was the 4th time this year, they were asked to take a picture of a recently engaged couple, and were hoping it would happen on their trip in the Rockies. It was a sweet moment for sure.

What's one thing that you feel describes you as a couple best? Why?

Brett and I are very simple and laid back. I think that’s how both of our families would describe us together. We laugh a lot and don’t take anything too seriously.

What do you like to do together?

Last night we went to a little hole in the wall place in Fenton called the Malt shop (highly recommend), and we joked how these are our favorite things to do together. But we weren’t kidding, little things like eating a burger and fries at a picnic table on a Friday night. Nothing fancy! We love road tripping, being sarcastic with each other, and making each other laugh. It doesn’t really matter what we’re doing :)

Do you have a song? What is it?

Not really, but we recently decided that Only Wanna Be With You by Hootie & The Blowfish will be our first dance song. The lyric, “I’m such a baby yeah the dolphins make me cry”, really resonates with us. Brett is a huge Miami Dolphins fan and while he will deny it, between us, the Dolphins definitely make him cry. 🤣🤣 #finsup
