Behind The Scenes

Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes of your photographer? For you, its usually show up in a pretty outfit, laugh a little and get pretty pictures (if it goes the way its supposed to right ? ;))

Well for me, the process is a little different. It starts with marketing. Finding "my people" who feel the same way about photos and want the same love, emotion and truth in their photos that LEF Photo offers. Then we go through personal contracts and booking. Thennnn research! Getting to know you, and learning new prompts lighting tips, photography tips, scouting a location, and prepping gear.

Now we're together!! This is the best part!! I LOVE meeting you and getting to know you and who YOU are in real life. Being behind the camera I'm cracking jokes and telling you what to do, silly little things to make you comfortable like "use your best batman voice to tell her your Taco Bell order" I'm also watching the lighting and all of the settings on my camera. Constantly checking to make sure you're in focus and in good lighting to most beautifully capture your YOU!

Thennn we say goodbye. I download all your photos to multiple locations to make sure they are safe and nothing happens. Then I'll go through all of the photos deleting all of the ones that aren't in focus, duplicates, or closed eyes etc. Then I upload them to an editing software and add a filter that I have created to all of them. Each bunch of photos is a little different and requires different adjustment, then the smallest details on each photo are attended to as well.

I check the photos compared to each other and other photos to make sure everything is cohesive. Re-edit. tripple check and then download instagram photos, blog photos, and all of them in different folders. Then upload each folder to their specific locations. THIS TAKES FOREVER!!! Edit the settings and copy the link.

NOW you get a link sent to you in an e-mail and we all shout HURRAY!!! and marvel at your pretty pretty pretty pretty selves :)

Typing it all up reminds me of how long it all takes! hahah but I love it and I love you guys!!!
