Dave and Barb Wedding

So Barb and Dave. They are the best! I had so much fun getting to know them. They have been dating for a long time so everybody in their families was so excited that they were finally getting married.

Barb and Dave are actually members of the same church that I go to, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Iin our church members get married in Temple (you may have seen the beautiful big white building of the 64/40). We believe temples are a sacred place, The House of the Lord, where couples can be sealed for time and all eternity not just till death do you part. We do not take picutres in the temple, but they had the great moment when they exited the temple newly married and greeted and celebrated with their friends and family. That moment is so special!

After a few Bridals and group pictures, we went to the house where Barb's father grew up. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but it was so beautiful. To see the history and the excitement that Barb and her family had about the special location this is where she had Christmas dinners and Thanksgiving dinners growing up with her brothers and sisters. Their family no longer lives there but the owner was so kind to let them have a ring ceremony in their backyard.

For those people who were not able to go into the temple when they were sealed, Barb and Dave had a ring ceremony where they exchanged rings and gave their own version of vows expressing their love for each other and their excitement to finally be married. It was obvious that everybody (although freezing), was so happy for them.

The reception was my dream reception! Seriously it was exactly what I would have wanted at my wedding, and very similar to what I did have at my wedding! Beautiful candles line tables alongside the greenery. They danced the night away, of course to their song, Let's Get It On.

All my love and best wishes to Dave and Barb! love you guys!
