Of everything I get to do as a wedding photographer, shooting LDS brides is by far my favorite. There is something so special about capturing the moment of the Temple Exit, they've just been married for time and all eternity and are basking in the excitement with all of their guests.
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints are married in Temples around the world. We believe them to be The House of the Lord, where we make sacred promises with God. The marriage "sealing" is one of those promises, that we also make to our spouses. It is so special to know that the marriage is not only the two of us, but united with God. And so amazing to believe that death with not part us.
Because of the sacred nature of the temple sealing, photography is not allowed during the ceremony. So much like capturing the first kiss at a ceremony, the temple exit is a big deal of the day, and something so special to record.
Rachel and Bryce were married in the Provo City Center Temple in Provo Utah. I love this temple, and the sweet joy on their faces, and their friends and family waiting to greet the new happy couple!
Enjoy these cuties on their special day.
