Me and Mr. Francis- How L E F Photo Began

Hey guys! My name is Laurel Evans Francis, the owner of LEF Photo. I wanted to share the wedding that meant the very most to me. The one where I felt the most love and joy. The one where I married the man of my dreams and was sealed to him for time and all eternity. It's because of this wedding that LEF Photo came to be. You've heard the story. Randy, my sweet husband, was the one to push me to chase my dreams.

Let me tell you the longER story.

We dated for a while before I left to live in Japan for a year and a half teaching the people there about Christ. He waited for me and when I got home, we found ourselves quickly in love again, and ready to make this special day happen. We had a TWO AND A HALF MONTH ENGAGEMENT! Timing for the family and school worked out so we were choosing between a December wedding and an April wedding. That was WAY harder than deciding to marry Randy. But when it came down to it, I didn't want to wait. lol. While its not TOO crazy in the mormon culture to have short engagements, it did feel crazy. But crazy good.

Since the time we decided to get married, we began planning our lives together (we had definitely imagined it before, but now it was REAL:D ) One thing we had to figure out was schooling. In order for me to graduate at the same time I had to jump through hoops of fire! I began taking 18 credits of course work/semester YEAR ROUND. I was BURNING OUT. I remember specifically one day Randy picked me up and we were driving down university and I was done. I told him i didn't even know why I was studying to become a teacher, in my dreams I'd just want to be a wedding photographer (saying this with ZERO experience, only my love of love and my camera I bought when I was 16). So my sweet heart said, "Then do it"

That's what started it all, I told him there's x,y,z and zz that cost $$$ to even get started..i didn't know if it was worth trying. But I started with the free things. Because of his position at school I was able to download a photo editing software for free, and its all history from there. I'll never stop learning. I have so far to go, but I am well on that journey. And because of THIS wedding, and marrying a man who believes in me, I am chasing my dreams.
